I enjoyed using Audacity. It was very similar to Adobe Soundbooth, which I used last semester for the audio of my final presentation. Since it was similar, I felt the interface was familiar and easy to use. I had a couple issues with Aviary. Watching Dr. Smyth's video helped me to figure out how to make the music fade. Without the video, I don't think I would have been able to figure it out by myself. I also had issues with deleting sections. In Audacity, when you want to delete a portion of the audio, it was automatically fill in the gap that was deleted. With Aviary, you have to manually move the second section to align with the first. That would get irritating if you had a lot of small deletions.
I wasn't quite sure what do to do for my last two audio clips. I decided to research quotes about topics that I was passionate about. I chose quotes about arts education and global warning. Art Advocacy has definitely been on the mind considering Nikki Haley's proposal to eliminate funding for ETV and the Arts Commission.
